Why should I book a trip with Saraurku?
At Saraurku we offer unique community-based tourism experiences, connecting you with the traditions, culture and landscapes of Ecuador. Our tours support the sustainable development of local communities and allow you to participate in authentic activities that preserve their cultural identity.
What is included in a tour package?
Our packages include private transportation throughout the tour, lodging in hotels and local communities, meals specified in the program, certified local guides, entrance fees to archaeological sites and cultural activities.
What is not included in the tour price?
Not included are international or domestic flights, travel insurance, tips, alcoholic beverages, activities not mentioned in the itinerary and personal expenses.
How can I customize my tour?
You can add additional days, include specific activities or visit sites of interest. Simply fill out the reservation form and add a message or contact us directly, and we will design a tour tailored to your interests.
What is the cancellation policy?
To confirm your reservation, we require a 50% deposit. Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to the trip start date are eligible for a refund minus an administrative fee. Cancellations 45 days or less prior to departure are non-refundable. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance.
Do I need a visa to visit Ecuador?
Citizens of most countries, including the United States, Canada and Europe, do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 consecutive days. We suggest you check the specific requirements for your nationality before traveling.
What type of clothing and equipment should I bring?
We recommend wearing comfortable, layered clothing to adapt to the changing weather. Sturdy hiking shoes, a raincoat, sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat or cap are essential.
Is it safe to travel with small children?
Yes, our tours are suitable for families. We offer activities that can be enjoyed with children and make adaptations when necessary to ensure their comfort and safety.
Are tours offered in different languages?
Yes, we have certified guides who speak Spanish and English. Please let us know in advance if you need a guide in another language.
How do I book a tour?
You can easily book by filling out our online booking form or by contacting us directly. Once confirmed, we require a 50% deposit to secure your place.
What if I have special dietary needs?
We can accommodate most dietary needs, such as vegetarian, vegan or food allergy options. Please indicate this at the time of booking.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed, contact us immediately to coordinate the necessary adjustments to your transportation or itinerary.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card and other secure methods. We will provide you with instructions when you confirm your reservation.
Do you offer travel insurance?
We do not include travel insurance. Furthermore, we recommend purchasing coverage that includes medical emergencies, cancellations and other unforeseen events.
What can I expect in terms of altitude?
Some regions, such as Quito and the Andes, are at high altitude. Take time to acclimatize, stay hydrated and avoid strenuous activities during the first 24-48 hours.
