Day 1: Welcome to Quito.

– Open a door to new experiences.

Upon landing at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport, our professional guide will offer a warm welcome. During the comfortable private transfer to the hotel, you will have the opportunity to learn a little more about Quito, its history and the places that await you. A welcome dinner will mark the beginning of a tour that combines hospitality, culture and the possibility of discovering something new at every moment.

Day 2: Discovering Historic Quito.

– UNESCO World Heritage Site

Immerse yourself in Quito’s Historic Center, where the past comes alive in every corner. Visit the majestic Basilica del Voto Nacional, the Plaza de San Francisco with its baroque church, and the iconic Compañía de Jesús with its dazzling golden interior. Stroll through the Plaza de la Independencia and its surroundings, and enjoy a traditional lunch in a colonial restaurant. Culminate the day at the Panecillo, admiring views that capture the essence of Quito.

Day 3: Explore Antisana National Park.

– Where the Condor Unites Skies and Mountains.

Experience the wonders of Antisana National Park, a sanctuary of breathtaking landscapes and biodiversity. This experience offers scenic hikes on nature trails, breathtaking views of the Antisana Volcano, the Mica Lagoon and the majestic Andean Condor, symbol of the Andes and the largest flying raptor in the world.

Day 4: Welcome to Saraguro

– Culture, Ritual and Local Cuisine

Discover the cultural and natural essence of Saraguro in an experience that connects tradition and serenity. Participate in an energetic ceremony at the Baño del Inca waterfalls, enjoy Pinzhi, a traditional dish steeped in history, and visit an artisan workshop to learn about local weavings. Stroll through the Central Plaza and its neighborhood while the stories of this region envelop you in its legacy.

Overnight: Saraguro

Day 5. Discover Gera

from Pachamanca to an Evening of Music and Dance

Connect with the authenticity of Gera through unique cultural experiences. Walk among the agave, taste an ancestral drink, and enjoy the Pachamanca, a masterpiece of traditional cuisine. Close the day with a cultural evening full of music, dance and artistic expressions that celebrate the spirit of this community.

Day 6: Meeting the Finqueros

– Where Land and Community Unite

Learn about the agricultural world of organic coffee and fruits in Saraguro. Start with a warm welcome at a local coffee farm, learning about the growing process and participating in the harvest. Enjoy a traditional lunch, celebrating the freshness and authenticity of local produce. Visit a sustainable farm to explore a variety of organic fruits and taste their natural and refreshing flavors. We travel to Cuenca in the afternoon.

Day 7: Essential Cuenca

An Immersion in Cuenca’s Culture

Enjoy the essence of Cuenca, a city where tradition and creativity intertwine. Stroll through the vibrant 10 de Agosto Market, full of local colors and flavors of everyday life. Admire the imposing Cuenca Cathedral and stroll through the Plaza de Flores, a perfect space for moments of calm and beauty. Savor a lunch prepared with fresh ingredients and discover the art of toquilla straw hats, a symbol of Cuenca’s identity. This day celebrates the connection between history, culture and community.

Day 8: Ingapirca and Andean Traditions

Routes of History

Learn about the rich history of the Cañari and Inca cultures while exploring the impressive archaeological complex of Ingapirca and the picturesque landscape of Sisid Añejo. Discover the secrets of ancestral architecture and participate in the elaboration of traditional machica, an essential food of Andean cuisine. End the day with a vibrant cultural evening filled with music, dance and the living spirit of these ancient civilizations.

Day 9: Walking the Qhapaq Ñan

Ancestral Connections in the Andes

Walk in the footsteps of the ancient Cañaris and Incas along the historic Qhapaq Ñan (Inca Trail), surrounded by the mystical landscapes of Sangay National Park. Guided by a local expert, connect with the rich history and culture of the region as you explore the archaeological sites of Culebrillas and Paredones. Share a traditional Pampamesa, a reflection of the Andean community and land, before heading back to Quito, taking with you the essence of these ancient civilizations.

Day 10: A Fond Farewell

Cancellation Policy

  • To confirm your reservation, a deposit of 50% of the total cost is required.
  • Payment in full must be made at least 45 days prior to the start date of the trip.
  • In all cases of cancellation and refund Saraurku will retain the amount of 15% of the administrative expenses incurred, plus the 10% commission of the services contracted with third parties.
  • We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance that covers cancellations or unforeseen events to protect your investment.

Visas and Passports

VISAS:

No visa is required for citizens of most countries, including the United States, Canada and Europe, to enter Ecuador for a stay of up to 90 consecutive days (three months). We recommend that you check the specific requirements for your country before traveling.

PASSPORTS:

You will need a valid passport with at least 6 months validity before its expiration date. At the time of your reservation, we will ask you for the expiration date of your passport.

Your passport must also have a minimum of two blank pages for entry and exit stamps for Ecuador. If your itinerary includes visits to other countries, make sure you have additional pages for those portions of your trip.

If you need a new or renewed passport, please do so well in advance, as processing times can vary considerably from country to country.

We recommend that you carry with you a color photocopy of the first two pages of your passport. Keep these copies in a safe place so that you will have proof of identification in case of loss.

Check with your country’s immigration authorities or local embassy for updated information on entry requirements for Ecuador.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of our travelers is our priority. Ecuador is an incredibly diverse and welcoming destination, but it is important to keep in mind some recommendations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience during your visit:

Health

Vaccinations: No mandatory vaccinations are required to enter Ecuador. However, if you plan to visit Amazonian areas, yellow fever vaccine and malaria prophylactic medication are recommended. Consult your doctor or a travel health center before your trip.

Altitude: Some regions, such as Quito and the Andes, are at high altitude. Take time to adapt, stay hydrated and avoid strenuous physical activity for the first 24-48 hours.

Water and food: Consume bottled water and avoid drinking tap water. Opt for cooked foods and peeled fruits or vegetables to prevent stomach upset.

Climate and clothing: Ecuador has varied climates, from the cold of the Andes to the heat of the Amazon. Bring adequate clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent and a raincoat.

Hiking and outdoor activities: Always follow the instructions of local guides, especially on hikes or jungle activities. Wear appropriate footwear and stay on marked trails.

Personal Safety

Belongings: Keep your belongings safe and avoid carrying visible valuables in public places. Use a secure backpack or purse and keep your passport and money in a discreet place.

Transportation: Trust certified tour operators and avoid using informal cabs. We will provide safe transportation during your itinerary.

Travel insurance: It is mandatory to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, evacuation and any unforeseen event.

Emergencies

In case of emergency, our team will be available to assist you at all times. We will provide you with local contact numbers and guides who will be with you during every stage of the trip. Ecuador has medical services in all major cities and access to hospitals in case of need.
