Day 1. Welcome to Guayaquil
– Encanto del Malecon and Local Flavors
Begin your trip in the vibrant port of Guayaquil, where our guide will meet you at the airport. A comfortable transfer will take you to the hotel El Manso, located in front of the famous Malecon of the Guayas River. Enjoy a spectacular view and feel the energy of the city at your feet. In the evening, let yourself be tempted by the exquisite Ecuadorian offerings at La Pata Gorda, where you can dine on your own and savor the authentic local cuisine.

Day 2. Spondylus Route
– Introduction to the Ecuadorian coast
Travel the emblematic Spondylus Route, where nature and culture intertwine. Enjoy the sea in Ayangue, share a homemade lunch with a local family in Manglar Alto and feel the vibrant energy of Montañita. End the day in Ayampe, exploring its beach and river mouth, before enjoying a fresh seafood dinner in a calm environment.

Day 3. Isla de la Plata: Little Galapagos
– Coastal Adventure and Nature
Embark to Isla de la Plata, a place where nature connects with the soul. Throughout the year, you can observe iconic birds such as blue-footed boobies and frigate birds. Additionally, between June and September, humpback whales offer an unforgettable spectacle. Walk along lively trails, swim in crystal clear waters and snorkel surrounded by colorful fish. Upon returning to Ayampe, close the day with a dinner of fresh produce and the serenity of the coastal night.

Day 4. Los Frailes and Agua Blanca
– The Wonders of Machalilla National Park.
We will explore Playa de los Frailes, walking along trails to a viewpoint overlooking the Pacific, followed by time to relax on the beach. Afterwards, we will have lunch in Machalilla and visit Agua Blanca, with its archaeological museum, trails among tombs of the Manteño culture and traditional crops. In the sulfurous lagoon, you will enjoy a healing plunge in its cool waters, with the option of a palo santo massage. We will finish with a seafood dinner in Salango before returning to Ayampe for the night.

Day 5. From the Coast to the Andes
– A Journey of Geographic Diversity
We begin our journey into the southern Andes, heading to the Kichwa village of Saraguro, crossing the Spondylus Route and passing through Guayaquil until we reach Puerto Inca, where we will enjoy a traditional lunch. We continue through El Cajas National Park, surrounded by mountains and lagoons. We will make a stop in Oña to taste the traditional drink Tequila Dubal. Upon arrival in Saraguro, we will stay at the Achik Wasi Hotel, where you will enjoy a welcome dinner with local products.

Day 6. Living Culture of the Kichwa People
– Immersion in Saraguro’s Rural, Community Tourism
Immerse in the ancestral traditions of the Kichwa Saraguro peoples. We begin with a spiritual ritual in the Baños del Inca to connect you with nature. Then, in the community of Ñamarín, a local artisan will teach you traditional weaving techniques. We will enjoy a traditional lunch, the Pinzhi, before visiting the community of Gera, where we will walk the agave plantations to a spectacular viewpoint. There, we will taste the traditional drink, Guajango. We will finish with a dinner of organic produce accompanied by Kichwa music.

Day 7: Locally Grown Coffee and Fruit
– Tropical Flavors in the Warm Zone of Saraguro
Discover the flavors of Saraguro starting at the coffee farms of La Papaya, where you will learn about the cultivation and production of coffee and enjoy its exquisite aroma. In Chayazapa, a local farmer will welcome you with orange juice and a picnic lunch with fresh produce. You will learn how to make guarapo and taste honey, panela and aguardiente. Finally, you will visit a tropical fruit farm and close the day with a traditional dinner at Tupay on Saraguro’s central plaza.

Day 8: Discovering Cuenca
– History, Culture and Local Flavors
Explore Cuenca, a colonial World Heritage City, in a day full of culture and history. Stay in the historic center and tour Calderon Park, the Cathedral and Plaza de las Flores. Discover local flavors at the 10 de Agosto Market and enjoy lunch at Curu. In the afternoon, visit the toquilla straw hat factory and the Pumapungo rchaeological complex. End the day with dinner at a local restaurant, savoring Cuenca’s most authentic dishes.

Day 9: Cañari Culture and Ingapirca
– Follow the Steps of the Cañari Culture
Immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Kañari people. We leave Cuenca towards the cities of Azogues, Biblián and Cañar, and arrive at the Kañari community of Sisid Anejo, where we will be welcomed with traditional drinks. We will visit the archaeological complex of Ingapirca and walk along an ancient Kañari trail, enjoying a picnic lunch. We will continue to the Cañar River, where we will learn about barley-based food processing, and finish with a traditional dinner prepared by the community.

Day 10. Culebrillas and Qhapaq Ñan
– An Ancestral Tradition on the Shores of a Sacred Lagoon
Connect with the Andes in a day of landscapes, history and living traditions. Hike to the sacred Culebrillas Lagoon and walk the Qhapaq Ñan (Inca Trail), impregnated with ancestral energy. Share a Pampamesa with the Cañari community and learn about traditional medicines grown in their gardens. Finish with a cultural night of music and dance that celebrates the community spirit and the Andean legacy.

Day 11. Kichwa Culture of Chimborazo
– Experience Andean Flavors
Travel to the foothills of the majestic Chimborazo, passing through Andean villages such as Chunchi, Alausí, Guamote and Colta, where you will enjoy lunch with local produce. In the community of Casa Condor, you will be welcomed with a hot drink to acclimatize you to the high altitude cold. Connect with Kichwa culture as you meet the alpacas and participate in the ancestral art of spinning wool, transforming it into beautiful handicrafts. End the day by the fireplace, sharing a dinner prepared with fresh ingredients.

Day 12. Adventure in Chimborazo
– Hiking on the Highest Mountain in Ecuador
Experience an exciting day on the Chimborazo Volcano, starting with an ascent by vehicle to the first refuge and then a hike to the second refuge, at 5,000 meters above sea level. Enjoy breathtaking views and the adrenaline rush of hiking at high altitude. Afterwards, lunch with local produce such as quinoa and llama meat at Palacio Real. We continue our journey to Quito, passing through Ambato and Latacunga, and finish with dinner in the city and overnight in a comfortable hotel.

Day 13. Exploring Quito
– Mitad del Mundo, Pululahua and Centro Histórico.
Enjoy the cultural and natural richness of Quito and its surroundings in a day full of meaningful moments. Start in the Middle of the World, where you will experience the uniqueness of being in both hemispheres at the same time and admire the impressive inhabited crater of Pululahua. Savor lunch with local ingredients before touring Quito’s Historic Center, whose streets full of history invite you to connect with the capital’s traditions.

Cancellation Policy
- To confirm your reservation, a deposit of 50% of the total cost is required.
- Payment in full must be made at least 45 days prior to the start date of the trip.
- Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to the trip start date are eligible for a full refund of the deposit, less a 10% administrative fee.
- Cancellations made 45 days or less prior to travel are non-refundable due to operational and logistical commitments.
- We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance that covers cancellations or unforeseen events to protect your investment.
Visas and Passports
VISAS:
No visa is required for citizens of most countries, including the United States, Canada and Europe, to enter Ecuador for a stay of up to 90 consecutive days (three months). We recommend that you check the specific requirements for your country before traveling.
PASSPORTS:
You will need a valid passport with at least 6 months validity before its expiration date. At the time of your reservation, we will ask you for the expiration date of your passport.
Your passport must also have a minimum of two blank pages for entry and exit stamps for Ecuador. If your itinerary includes visits to other countries, make sure you have additional pages for those portions of your trip.
If you need a new or renewed passport, please do so well in advance, as processing times can vary considerably from country to country.
We recommend that you carry with you a color photocopy of the first two pages of your passport. Keep these copies in a safe place so that you will have proof of identification in case of loss.
Check with your country’s immigration authorities or local embassy for updated information on entry requirements for Ecuador.
Health and Safety
The health and safety of our travelers is our priority. Ecuador is an incredibly diverse and welcoming destination, but it is important to keep in mind some recommendations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience during your visit:
Health
Vaccinations: No mandatory vaccinations are required to enter Ecuador. However, if you plan to visit Amazonian areas, yellow fever vaccine and malaria prophylactic medication are recommended. Consult your doctor or a travel health center before your trip.
Altitude: Some regions, such as Quito and the Andes, are at high altitude. Take time to adapt, stay hydrated and avoid strenuous physical activity for the first 24-48 hours.
Water and food: Consume bottled water and avoid drinking tap water. Opt for cooked foods and peeled fruits or vegetables to prevent stomach upset.
Climate and clothing: Ecuador has varied climates, from the cold of the Andes to the heat of the Amazon. Bring adequate clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent and a raincoat.
Hiking and outdoor activities: Always follow the instructions of local guides, especially on hikes or jungle activities. Wear appropriate footwear and stay on marked trails.
Personal Safety
Belongings: Keep your belongings safe and avoid carrying visible valuables in public places. Use a secure backpack or purse and keep your passport and money in a discreet place.
Transportation: Trust certified tour operators and avoid using informal cabs. We will provide safe transportation during your itinerary.
Travel insurance: It is mandatory to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, evacuation and any unforeseen event.
Emergencies
In case of emergency, our team will be available to assist you at all times. We will provide you with local contact numbers and guides who will be with you during every stage of the trip. Ecuador has medical services in all major cities and access to hospitals in case of need.
