With more than 20 years of experience, Saraurku has established itself as a model in community and rural tourism in Ecuador. Founded on April 4, 2004, we are pioneers and leaders in Saraguro, dedicated to designing and marketing tourism packages offering authentic and transformative experiences, in harmony with nature and the traditions of our communities.

Lauro Guaillas
General Manager
Originally from San Lucas, Loja, Lauro is a pioneer of community-based tourism in Ecuador and founder of the Saraurku Agency (2004). With studies in Sustainable Tourism Management, he has led organizations such as the Saraguro Rikuy Community Tourism Network and worked on international projects, seeking to ensure that the benefits of tourism reach the host communities directly and promoting responsible development.

Rosa Minga
Chairman of the Saraguru Rikuy Network
Community leader and artisan of Ñamarín, Rosa is president of the Saraguro Rikuy Community Tourism Network, where she strengthens tourism in the region. She also stands out for her handicrafts, which are recognized in the Americas and Europe. As a lawyer, she has used her knowledge to ensure the functioning of the Network, promote tourism and improve opportunities for local communities.

Sisa Morocho
Local Guide
Originally from Las Lagunas, Sisa Morocho is an active member of the Community Tourism Center and the Saraguro Rikuy Community Tourism Network. In 2003, she trained as a local guide in the project “Community Ecotourism in the Saraguro People” and obtained her credential from the Ministry of Tourism. As a Kichwa speaker, she shares the language, culture and traditions of the Saraguro people, being a reliable and charismatic guide for Saraurku travelers.

Originally from Yucucapak and a graduate in Accounting and Auditing, she has worked in several companies, supporting key decision making with sound financial management. Her work contributes to Saraurku’s sustainable growth, aligned with the values of social and community responsibility. Her attention to detail and strategic approach ensures optimal financial management, facilitating the success of community tourism initiatives.
